Medication Management
Medication management is a collaborative process focused on helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes while minimizing unwanted side effects. At Balanced Mind Psychiatry, we take a personalized approach to treatment, carefully considering each individual’s symptoms, medical history, goals, and preferences when developing a medication plan. We believe that effective treatment should improve quality of life—not create new challenges through unnecessary side effects. In addition to prescribing and adjusting medications, we work at simplifying complex medication regimens, reducing unnecessary medications when appropriate, and helping patients safely taper off medications they no longer wish to take. Our goal is to ensure that every medication serves a clear purpose and supports your overall mental health and well-being.
Spravato (eskatamine)
Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to treat depression. Unlike traditional antidepressants, which can take weeks to become effective, Spravato works through different pathways in the brain and may provide relief more quickly for patients. Treatment is administered in our office under medical supervision as part of a comprehensive care plan. Many insurance plans cover Spravato treatment, and our team assists patients with insurance verification and authorization. To provide the most comprehensive approach to healing, Balanced Mind Psychiatry collaborates with Mend Therapy to offer psychotherapy alongside Spravato treatment, combining medication-assisted treatment with evidence-based therapeutic support to help patients achieve lasting improvement in their mental health.

Supplement Support
At Balanced Mind Psychiatry, we take a comprehensive approach to mental health by looking beyond symptoms to identify potential underlying factors that may be contributing to emotional and cognitive concerns. As part of our treatment planning, we may recommend targeted nutritional supplements when clinically appropriate and supported by laboratory testing. We routinely evaluate for common contributors to mental health symptoms, including vitamin D deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency, iron deficiency and anemia, thyroid disorders, and other medical conditions that can affect mood, energy, concentration, and overall well-being. By identifying and addressing these underlying factors, we can create more personalized treatment plans that support both mental and physical health.
